Held and Supported
Practical postpartum and household support for mothers and families in the Marquette area.
While you hold your baby, I help care for the rest.
The early days of motherhood can be beautiful, overwhelming, and exhausting all at once. Between recovering physically, adjusting emotionally, and caring for a newborn, the everyday responsibilities of the home can quickly feel like too much.
Many mothers are told to “rest,” but are left wondering who will take care of everything else.
Held & Supported exists to help lighten that load.
Practical Support for the Postpartum Season and Growing Families
Held & Supported provides calm, trustworthy help with the everyday tasks that often feel overwhelming during postpartum and early motherhood.
Support May Include:
• laundry and folding
• dishes and bottle washing
• light kitchen and home resets
• grocery pickup and put-away
• simple meal and snack preparation
• errands and household tasks
• tidying and organization
• light pet care
• seasonal or event preparation
• engaging with baby or children while you rest or reset
Our goal is simple: to create space for rest, recovery, and a greater sense of peace.
At Held & Supported, our mission is to care for mothers during the deeply vulnerable postpartum season. The early days of motherhood can be beautiful, overwhelming, and isolating all at once. We are committed to providing practical support and a calming presence so mothers can rest, recover, and focus on their baby. By helping with the everyday tasks that often feel impossible during this time, we aim to create space for peace, safety, and the feeling every mother deserves—to be seen, held, and supported too
Our Mission
Meet the Founder
Held & Supported was created from a deeply personal experience with postpartum motherhood.
After the birth of my daughter in January 2024, I found myself navigating the early days of motherhood largely on my own. The postpartum season can be one of the most beautiful times in a woman’s life, but it can also be one of the most vulnerable. As I recovered from birth and adjusted to caring for a newborn around the clock, I experienced the intense exhaustion, lack of sleep, and overwhelming anxiety that many mothers quietly carry during this season.
There were days when I was barely sleeping, trying to meet the constant needs of a newborn while also managing the everyday responsibilities of life and home. I quickly realized how heavy that load can become when a mother does not have the practical support she needs during postpartum.
I also came to understand something many mothers experience but don’t always say out loud — while support is often offered with love and good intentions, it doesn’t always look like the kind of help a mother truly needs. Most mothers want to hold their baby. What they need is support with everything else.
In those moments, what would have made the biggest difference was having an extra set of hands — someone to help with the everyday tasks that pile up during the early weeks of motherhood: laundry, dishes, meals, errands, and creating space for rest, recovery, and even a simple shower.
Postpartum is one of the most transformative and vulnerable seasons in a woman’s life. Yet many mothers move through it feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsupported.
Held & Supported was created so mothers don’t have to carry that weight alone.
My mission is to provide practical help and a calm, trustworthy presence in the home so mothers can experience more peace during their postpartum journey. By helping lighten the invisible load of early motherhood, I hope to create space for rest, healing, and the feeling every mother deserves — to be seen, held and supported too.
